| Day off. In honor of the one-year anniversary of Cyndi's death we decided to take a day off. Checked out the OKC art fair, the botanical garden, some local produce markets and the liquor store (Mecca!) in OKC. We even bought a new plant. |

| Progress . . . I feel like our kitchen might almost be back to normal now. There's no gaping holes in the floor, the 5 inches of dust has been cleared away, and our ice machine is back to making ice. And yet something still feels very unfinished . . . |

| That was a close one! Running a few minutes late already, we open the door to leave for school and Misfit shows up with a bird in her mouth. As we try to shoo her away she let go of the bird and it flew right into the house! It took us 10 minutes, a tennis racket, and a screen-less window to finally reunite the bird with the wild blue yonder. |

| Medieval Faire, Norman, OK. Erin and I ventured out from our piles of grading to check out the Carrot Mob on Main St. and the Medieval Faire in Reeves Park. Despite the overabundance of all things medieval, it was still quite a spectacle to behold. |

| It's getting better. The plumber fixed the leaks and destroyed the kitchen. So Nick and Chris fixed the foundation and are re-tiling the floor. Maybe in a week or 2 things will finally be back to normal. *fingers crossed* |
